Changes to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Push Notifications
Starting May 8, Microsoft will be adding a number-matching feature to MFA push notifications approved through the Microsoft Authenticator App. This change will help safeguard McMaster’s information security and protect sensitive data.
What is changing?
McMaster students, staff and faculty using push notifications on the mobile Microsoft Authenticator App will be shown a 2-digit number on screen when signing into their account and will be prompted to enter the number on their mobile device.
