* Blackout periods apply. Standard PhD defences cannot be scheduled during the following blackout periods:

December 15 to January 9, 2026 (inclusive)
August 18 to 22, 2026 (Inclusive)

What is a final thesis?

A final thesis is the corrected and approved version of the thesis which is submitted to the School of Graduate Studies, after the final oral examination.

Note: There is no grace period at the end of December or April for final thesis submission and completion of degree requirements.
