Virtual Grad Writing Boot Camp

For grad students, summer can be an important time to tackle theses and dissertations, but it’s hard to be productive in the midst of vacations and beautiful weather.

Maintain focus as a community! Join the first virtual grad writing boot camp to get focused and get stuff done. This week-long series facilitates supportive environments for writing and reflection. Virtual write-ins are a popular way to connect and concentrate while beating feelings of isolation.


Boot camp schedule

Monday

9 to 9:45 a.m. Boot Camp Start: Set Goals and Beat Procrastination!

Brief talk about goal-setting and beating procrastination (20 minutes) and time to discuss these strategies with your peers in small groups (25 minutes).

10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Virtual write-in

Break

1 to 4 p.m. Virtual write-in

Tuesday through Thursday*

9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Virtual write-in

1 to 4 p.m. Virtual write-in

Friday

9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Virtual write-in

1 to 1:45 p.m. Wrap-up: Group Reflection 

How did it go?  Did you reach your goals? Were your goals realistic?  Did you struggle with procrastination? What will you do differently going forward?  Let’s come together and talk about lessons learned.

*Additionally, a limited number of 30-minute writing appointments will be available Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m.
