Canadian Career Symposium for Graduate Students & Postdoctoral Fellows

Join this second annual career conference for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from across Canada. With 10 virtual sessions over four days – October 18 to 21 – this symposium is a great way to kickstart your professional development for the 2021-2022 year.
The agenda includes:
- keynote address from leadership coach Molly Grisham
- workshops from career experts on topics including
- Individualized Development Plans
- career planning
- positive psychology in the job search
- getting a foot in the door
- labour market information
- and more
The symposium also includes lived experiences from graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and alumni, with panels on transitioning your graduate work to the workforce, work integrated learning, and publicly engaged research.
Open to all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows at McMaster.
Registration closes at 12 noon on October 18.
Sessions will be broadcast on Vimeo (no account needed), and are password-protected.
