Join us for a discussion of Critical Mad Studies from its roots in the consumer/survivor/ex-patient movement to our contemporary moment. Cultural studies scholars Kaitlin Blanchard, Katrina Vogan, and Aisha Wilks will consider the organizing logics of the institution–psychiatric, carceral, and academic–through lived experience and archival research.
This event is open to persons with lived experience of disability, neurodivergence, and madness, as well as allies, at McMaster.
Event location: Microsoft Teams
Live captions (CART) will be available for the session. This session will not be recorded.
