Getting ready for grad school – English language and Canadian culture series


This series of workshops is intended for students whose first language is not English and/or who would like to learn more about navigating Canadian academic culture as a new graduate student. By attending these workshops, we hope you will feel more confident about starting your graduate journey in September!


Session 1 – Writing professional emails


Email may be the most important form of communication in the Canadian academic and professional setting. Attend this session to learn about writing effective, polite, and professional emails.


We will also discuss best practices around using generative AI like Chat GPT to help us write our emails.
