Getting ready for grad school – English language and Canadian culture series


This series of workshops is intended for students whose first language is not English and/or who would like to learn more about navigating Canadian academic culture as a new graduate student. By attending these workshops, we hope you will feel more confident about starting your graduate journey in September!


Session 3 – Navigating social events


You’ve been invited to attend a social event, now what? Whether it is a “potluck” with your classmates or a “networking” event at a conference, let’s talk about what you can expect and how to be prepared.
