Grads are Rad Lunch and Learn: Career access and employment resources for graduate students with disabilities
Apr 3, 2025
12:00PM to 1:00PM

Location: Connections Centre, Room L113, First Floor in Mills Library, Accessible Map
Disability and neurodiverse-identifying graduate students are invited to join us for the second event in our Lunch and Learn series – Career access and employment resources for graduate students – featuring McMaster’s Career Access Professional Services (CAPS).
The CAPS team is part of the Student Success Centre and offers services to students and alumni (up to five years after graduation) who identify as a person with a disability or someone who has been forcibly displaced. During this session, you will learn about services offered and how CAPS can best support your future.
We welcome guest speaker Katherine Hesson-Bolton (she/they), manager of talent partnerships and employer relations in the career and employment area of the Student Success Centre (Student Affairs).
All participants are encouraged to register so that we can meet any accessibility requirements and avoid space capacity issues.
About our Lunch & Learn series
A lunch hour presentation to highlight a graduate resource or service on campus that is available to disability- and neurodiverse-identifying grad students. We will have a different guest speaker each time. This presentation will be both open to students and allies who are looking to learn. We encourage you to bring a lunch but will always have light refreshments available in person. Bring your grad resource navigation questions or simply come by to learn or connect.
These events are hosted by project coordinator Isabel Campos Bedard. Isabel is a recent graduate alumnus who holds lived experience with disabilities.
