Health Sciences librarians Laura Banfield and Jo-Anne Petropoulos have extensive experience guiding many students towards successful publishing practices in their academic careers. They will share their unique insights on how to use available resources to find the RIGHT journal to publish your work.
Aim of this workshop:
- Learn about tools to help you identify, select and evaluate journals
- Identify useful factors to consider when selecting a journal
- Select the right journal for your subject area

About Science, Not Silence
This workshop is hosted by Science, Not Silence – a student-based team who share a passion for scientific communication. Science, Not Silence will be hosting a series of workshops facilitated by scientific communications experts such as science journalists, scientific publishing groups and more over this academic year. Events will focus on strong scientific communication skills essential in the current media landscape, to ensure that accurate information can be disseminated and understood by peers and the wider community.
Students who participate in all workshops will receive a non-accredited certificate of completion from our project team.
