Planting Roots: 2SLGBTQ+ Welcome
Oct 15, 2020
7:00PM to 8:00PM

Planting Roots is a Welcome Event for members of the LGBTTTIQQ and MOGAI communities and their allies. It is a chance to meet people from the community, get to know your peers, and learn about resources available through McMaster, as well as in and around Hamilton. The event will also include live online drag performances by Diamond and Sapphyre!
Why this event?
Sometimes students in LGBTTTIQQ and MOGAI communities may feel isolated or have fewer opportunities to meet and connect with other queer, gender-diverse, and sexually-diverse folks. This event is to aid in facilitating such connections.
The theme of ‘Planting Roots’ was selected for this annual event since this is a time where students, staff, and faculty are starting the new school year or turning a ‘new leaf’ in their academic careers. It is an opportunity to grow as a collective as well as individually.
