Grad & Postdoc Study Room, Room L405, Mills Library

The Study Room in Mill's Library (located on the fourth floor) is a small area designated for grad and postdoctoral writing and quiet study. It contains large tables and office chairs, standing work area, comfortable plush seating, internet access, and day-lockers.

Who can use the Study Room?

The room is for use by grad students and postdocs only. Any current graduate student or postdoctoral fellow can use the space for quiet study.

The room has secured entry (swipe card). Students and postdocs must request authorization to have their security cards activated. We can add access to this room to an existing working(@)Mac card or an existing white security card. If you don't have a white security card, one will be issued to you.

How do I gain access to the Study Room?

If you are a grad student or postdoc, and would like to use the Grad and Postdoc Study Room, here's how it works:

  1. Fill out the first section of the Grad Study Room Access Form.
  2. Email completed form to Anne Pottier (Library Services).
  3. You will receive an email to let you know when your card is active
  4. Start using the room!

When Can I use the Space? What are the hours?

As soon as your access card is activated, you can begin to use the space according to the same operating hours as Mill's Library. For more details about library hours »
