The Executive Committee consists of seven Graduate Council members: Vice-Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies, two Associate Deans (Graduate Studies), two faculty members, and two graduate students. Committee membership is appointed by Graduate Council on recommendations of the Chair of Grad Council.
The Executive Committee
- acts as the School of Graduate Studies primary advisory group to Graduate Council and its standing committees on strategic and complex issues;
- coordinates activities of and provides advice to standing committees and council, including on policy work and establishment and disbandment of ad hoc committees of Graduate Council;
- may act as liaison to the Vice-Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies, providing advice on strategic areas for the School of Graduate Studies, as well as reporting to Graduate Council on issues raised by the Vice-Provost and Dean or another committee of the council;
- provides an annual general report to council, regarding activities and decisions of the committee.
