Applications open for Masters tri-agency scholarships

Thinking about grad school at McMaster? Apply to the Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s (CGS M) Program.

Applications are due in the portal on December 1. Choose McMaster as one of the five universities where you want to hold your award.

Who is eligible?

The Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s Program (CGS M) provides financial support to high-calibre scholars in eligible Masters or, in some cases, doctoral programs in Canada.

The CGS M Program is administered jointly by Canada’s three federal granting agencies: the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC have created a harmonized application, regulations, instructions and application portal for the CGS M Scholarship located on the official tri-agency website.  Eligible students must complete and submit the application through the agency portal by the firm deadline of 8 p.m. EST on December 1, 2017.  Students who choose McMaster as one of the universities where they want to hold their award are automatically considered for an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) at McMaster.
