Applications for ethics approval going online

The McMaster Research Ethics Board (MREB) is launching a new online system to submit and review ethics board applications.

The McMaster Research Ethics Manager (MacREM) is set to launch in early October.

What is MacREM?

MacREM will enable web-based submissions, reviews and approvals of research ethics applications for the MREB. MacREM is built on the same platform used by the Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board, and is designed to simplify both application and review processes. The streamlined system is easy to use and creates a centralized record of all ethics documents.

While the official launch is still some weeks away, MacREM is now ready for users to submit applications for review and approval. However, users can still email a Word application until October 26, 2018.

For login information, user guides, and upcoming drop-in training session dates and times, visit the MREB webpage.
