Student Partners Program is accepting proposals

The Student Partners Program (SPP) is accepting submissions for projects to be included in the Student Partners Program (SPP) in Fall/Winter 2018-19.

The program aims to establish meaningful partnerships between students and staff/faculty working on teaching and learning projects at McMaster. Students become full members of project teams, and are compensated for their contributions.

Since the program was established in 2013-14, more than 300 students from across campus have taken part, working in partnership with faculty and staff to design and develop courses and curricula, create pedagogical resources, and conduct teaching and learning research.

To learn more about the kinds of projects supported through the SPP and what is expected of participating individuals, review the program guidebook

Anyone on campus (faculty/staff/student) working on a teaching and learning project that aligns with the program criteria (see pp. 3-4 of the guidebook) can submit that project for consideration. Prior to submitting, students proposing projects must find a faculty or staff member willing to collaborate with them on the work prior to submission.

Submit potential projects using Google form by August 7. The student partners program review committee vets all project submissions, and those chosen will be advertised to students in an open call. Student interest is also considered when finalizing project decisions, so you will be notified if your project has been funded after the deadline for student applications (by August 8). Questions?
