Engineering student takes top honours in second annual GradFlix video competition
Students, staff and faculty grabbed front row seats to celebrate the creative communications of graduate student video-makers in McMaster’s second annual GradFlix Final Showcase.
Engineering grad student Stacey Mark took first place at the second annual McMaster GradFlix Final Showcase. Mark is a Masters student in mechanical engineering.
Second place went to medical sciences Masters student Sergio Raez-Villanueva.
Third place went to software engineering PhD Geneva Smith. Smith also won People’s Choice.

The Final Showcase Premiere featured videos submitted by students from across the university. All submissions were adjudicated by a preliminary panel of McMaster community members who chose the top 12 finalists. The Final Showcase was judged by mostly members of the broader Hamilton community. During the Showcase Premiere, viewers had an opportunity to vote for People’s Choice.
