Applications now open for Graduate Residency in Digital Scholarship

Join a collegial scholarly community and receive dedicated support while working on a digital scholarship project.
Each year, the Sherman Centre invites applications for its Graduate Residency in Digital Scholarship. The residency program is designed to support graduate students as they work on a digital scholarship project (related or not to their primary graduate research).
We encourage residents to think of digital scholarship as expansively and as critically as possible. Digital projects might include the following fields: Data analysis and visualization, digital humanities, podcasting, computational textual analysis, digital exhibits, websites, online journals, database creation, app development; research into social media, content creation, surveillance, artificial intelligence, the tech industry’s environmental and social impacts, tech platforms and their policies, and more.
The collegial atmosphere of the residency is sustained through recurrent meetings during the Winter 2023 term, which facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue and opportunities for collaboration at the Sherman Centre and beyond. The Summer 2023 term will feature self-directed research work.
