Celebrating a silver jubilee of graduate community contributions
Excellence in leadership, supervision, and volunteerism carried the day at the 25th Annual Graduate Student Recognition Awards.
After a three-year hiatus, Vice-Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies Steve Hranilovic was happy to see more than 80 students, faculty and staff at the Phoenix for an in-person celebration of the outstanding work done by McMaster University’s graduate community.
“It’s wonderful to be able to come together in a space that belongs to graduate students, to pay tribute to individuals who are making so many meaningful contributions to graduate education across the university,” says Hranilovic.
The Graduate Student Recognition Awards are a community-based initiative to highlight excellence in supervision, teaching, leadership, communication, student support, and service to the university and broader communities.
“These awards acknowledge the outstanding achievements beyond academic performance in graduate studies. This is our opportunity to say thank you to those helping create a more supportive space for living and learning.”
