CREST Conference: Current Research in STEM 2024

The CREST (Current Research in Engineering, Science, and Technology) conference aims to provide a space for all individuals, students, postdocs, and faculty in science, engineering, mathematics, and health sciences to showcase their work and network in an interdisciplinary environment and gain support on their journeys in academia or industry.
Theme: “Shaping the Future: Trends and Insights for Tomorrow” aims to spotlight all STEM research initiatives and projects, and will especially highlight how AI and ML is transforming STEM research and industry today.

- keynotes and panels with leaders in STEM
- oral and poster presentations where individuals can share their research (there will be cash prizes!)

Early bird tickets: $15 for general registration, $20 for oral/poster presenters
Late registration: $20 for general, $30 for oral/poster presenters
Hosted by the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) initiative at McMaster, the conference will take on a particular focus on uplifting contributions of and opportunities for women, BIPOC, and other equity-deserving and underrepresented groups in STEMHS. The aim is to help address the critical issues of under-representation, lack of recognition, and some of the barriers faced by these populations; it’s a movement towards equitable recognition and opportunities in the scientific community.
