MERGE certificate program Learn More

The McMaster English Readiness for Graduate Excellence is an intensive certificate program for current or prospective graduate students from any institution who are looking to improve their English-language skills.

This comprehensive summer program is taught by the highest-qualified ESL/EAP instructors who have experience teaching in a university environment. Students are prepared for success in both the academic and professional world, and equipped to exceed the expectations of both, while feeling comfortable doing so in English.

The McMaster Office for the Development of English Language Learners (MODEL) is a free service designed to help both undergrad and grad students who may be struggling with the English Language.

MODEL offers English-language training, workshops, and support, developed by certified ESL and EAP experts, to meet the needs of McMaster students of all academic backgrounds and levels of English language proficiency.
