Employers and Other Third-Parties
McMaster University has partnered with AuraData, Canada’s online education verification system for the purposes of verifying Undergraduate and Graduate degree completion status of McMaster University graduates for employers and other external parties. For degree verification please visit the AuraData website. Please note: AuraData verifies Doctor of Medicine degrees but does not verify Internships, residency, or postdoctoral fellowships in the field of Medicine. These must be verified through the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. AuraData verification is not available for post-graduate and undergraduate certificates.
If you require a student to provide a letter of enrolment, they may request/produce a letter through the Mosaic Student Centre. This is only available the week after a convocation ceremony.
Recent Alumni
If you have been asked to provide Verification of Degree, you may do so through the Mosaic Student Centre > My Academics > Enrolment/Financial Letters > Degree Awarded Letter.
This letter is available the day after your convocation ceremony.
Accessing the Letter
If you need a letter emailed on your behalf, directly from the School of Graduate Studies, please email askgrad@mcmaster.ca indicating which letter you need sent and the email address of the intended receiver. Please include your student number in your email.
Printer friendly – save the letter as a PDF; you can then print it off, forward along or keep for your records.
Due to COVID-19, the School of Graduate Studies currently is not mailing physical letters.
