The GSA Travel Assistance Grants are funded from the proceeds of the Graduate Students Association Development Fund, which receives contributions from graduate students and the University. The GSA Travel Assistance Grants fund is administered through the School of Graduate Studies. The H.G. Hilton Master’s Scholarships were established by the income from a bequest in the estate of Hugh G. The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Grant is not intended for conference or course work travel.
It is not meant to replace sources of funding already available from the tri-agencies (CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC), other external granting sources, or internal scholarships and bursaries.
It is not intended to fund the research itself, but the travel to do the research.
